The Miletus sterling silver earrings are reproductions of a Roman coin depicting Annia Faustina from 146 AD. These chandelier earrings are created on a French earwire with an ornate disk holding three chains of varying lengths that are finished with three coins. Annia Faustina was the daughter of Antoninus Pius and the elder Faustina. She was the wife of Marcus Aurelius and was commemorated on the coinage as MATER CASTRORUM (mother of the camps) because she accompanied her husband on most of his campaigns.
